Four workshops is planned to be held during four-day festival of rock climbing from 17^th to 21^st of November in Kar-kooh canyon of Semnan province.
"Beside climbers’ attempt to open new sport and multi-pitch routes, festival’s organizers have planned four workshops about topics of descent systems, route’s sketch, clean climbing and incident command system (ICS) in big walls," Said festival manager, Farnoush Raeisi.
According to her, Hasan Gerami has been validated as technical authority of this festival.

The general assembly of  Alpine Club of Iran, which has been held annually since 1999 will be held on Wednesday, November 11^th in the evening.
"Based on 16^th article of association of  ACI, general assembly is assumed to be held annually in mid November. However in this year’s assembly, after a general report by ACI’s president, Abbas Mohammadi, Inspector, Behzad Torkashvand and a member of the board, Zaabiholah Hamidi are going to give their reports about last year’s turnover as ACI’s warden and bursar. The last program of the assembly is an election, where ACI’s members will vote to elect a new warden for the coming year," told ACI’s president, Abbaas Mohammadi.
After the election ceremoney, there will be an exciting program, where Hossein Boland-Akhtar will report a new route attempt on the west face of Mt. Alam-Kooh that was done in September, 2008.

The October's meeting of ACI will be held on Wednesday 29th Mehr1388 (21st October 2009), when lecturers with various standpoints are going to talk about "Mountain Hazards" that have happened to Iranian alpinists during recent years.
According to club’s announcement, Hamid Mosaeidian, member of both UIAA anti-doping committee and Iran’s Mountain Medicine Association, Davoud Mohammadifar, author of "Iran’s Mountaineering and Caving History" and Majid Sabet Zadeh, who is an experienced search and rescue man at "Friends of Yosemite Search and Rescue" will respectively give their viewpoints on this subject.

Based on meeting’s scheduling, the end program of this gathering is dedicated to a report by "Qajer" mountaineering group of Kurdistan province, who were in Mt. Nanga-Parbat searching for their missed friend "Saman Nemati". Saman was a member of an expedition of 7 Iranian alpinists from Damavand Club who was missed during summit push in July 2008.

 80^th public meeting

The 80^th public meeting of Club Alpine D'Iran will be held on Wednesday, 16^th of September from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. in "Shahriaran-e-Javan" hall located in "Nejatollahi" Avenue of Tehran.

In the beginning of this gathering, Iran’s famous sport climber Artimes Farshad-Yeganeh, who had participated as Alpine Club’s representative in bouldering world cup of 2009 in France, will give a lecture on the competition.
Afterwards, Yousef Souri-Nia intends to give a speech in order to encourage domestic cavers toward new caving activities. Yousef is well-known for his several surveys in "Paru" cave of Kermanshah province.
Meeting is open for every one interests in alpinism.

Iranian Alpine Club intends to hold a training course late in October, 2009 to train climbers and especially big wall climbers how to perform rescue operations on vertical slopes.
Climbing accident’s management, first aids, rope techniques in rescue operations, evaluate and placement of anchor systems, standard extrication and patient packaging techniques, hauling systems are the main topics, which will be instructed by Majid Sabet-Zadeh, an Iranian member of "Friends of Yosemite Search and Rescue".
Climbers with more than 18 years old and ability to climb at least 5.9 are allowed to participate in this course, which is going to be carried out on Band-e-Yakhchal wall at the foot of Mt. Tochal.

در مهر ماه سال گذشته، همايش بين‌المللی غارپيمايی با هدف تبادل تجربه و شناخت آخرين تكنيك های پيمايش و نقشه برداری غار ها با همكاری اتحاديه ی جهانی غارنوردی ( UIS )، باشگاه كوه نوردی و اسكی دماوند،‌ انجمن كوه‌نوردان ايران و سازمان ميراث فرهنگی برگزار شد. اين همايش و اردو،‌ سرآغاز تحولی در فعاليت های غارنوردی كشور شد  و به دنبال آن دومين همايش غارنوردان كشور با ميزبانی غارپيمايان استان خراسان جنوبی و همكاری انجمن کوه‌نوردان ایران در اسفند ماه امسال به مدت ۴ روز در منطقه‌ی غار بتون برگزار شد .
